Northgate publishes original analytical reports. Reporting, official records, and data provide the foundation; the conclusions are developed through the editorial process.
A broad editorial reference brief
The research brief includes Reuters, The Associated Press, Axios, The New York Times, The Guardian, and comparable reporting organizations, alongside original government releases, company filings, court records, and published datasets. The aim is to compare evidence and interpretations rather than rebuild another outlet’s article in different words.
Original analysis, with a retained research record
The reading pages use a clean editorial format without formal citation markers. The editorial record retains the specific materials used, their dates, the facts checked, and the distinction between those facts and an analytical judgment. Naming an outlet in the reference brief does not mean every article draws on it.
Investigations and reported leaks
The investigations brief includes official documents and material published by private media organizations. A reported leak is evaluated through its provenance, corroboration, and any relevant response. An account based on an unnamed source remains attributed reporting; it does not become an authenticated document simply because it is repeated.
